Prof. Dr. Güven ÖZDEMİR / Vice President

He was born in Sivas in 1968. He completed his primary and secondary education in Sivas and his high school education in Izmir. He started higher education in Ege University, Faculty of Science in 1985. He completed his higher education in 1989 and started his graduate education at Ege University, Institute of Science, Department of Biology. He completed his master's degree in 1992 and his doctorate education in 1997.

He became assistant professor in 2000, associate professor in 2005, and professor in 2011. During these periods, he carried out research activities in various universities in Belgium and the USA with TUBİTAK and YÖK scholarships. He has more than 100 publications, including 40 research articles published by international indexes, over 600 citations he received to these publications, and various foreign and Turkish books and book chapters. Working in more than 50 TUBITAK, SANTEZ, DPT, BAP and various public projects, Prof. Dr. Güven Özdemir has also served as a consultant to various industrial and educational institutions. Working in various management activities in the institutions he worked for, Prof. Dr. Güven Özdemir is still working as Ege University EGEMİKAL Analysis Laboratory Manager, Head of Biology Department, Ege University Senate Member, board member at different Application Research Centers and various commissions. Professor, who is married and has two children. Dr. Güven Özdemir speaks English.
